Description

Possibly the most perfect example of art deco china This lovely art deco teacup and saucer are elaborately decorated with 24 kt gold lustre. screen printed with the words ‘gin whore’ on the cup and a skull on the saucer

This vintage piece of fine china has been given new life through the process of upcycling, using high fire ceramic paint. The new elements have been screen printed onto the china and then fired in a kiln at approximately 700c. This process ensures that the paint is permanent and will not wash, wipe off or fade, making the item safe for use.

While these pieces are safe for use, we recommend handwashing to preserve their original charm. Although the new paint can withstand a dishwasher, the vintage glaze and painted decoration may not endure. Embrace the character of each piece, bearing the marks of a well-loved past. Please note that minor wear and tear are to be expected from their previous lives. Any significant flaws or imperfections will be transparently detailed in the description, ensuring you receive a piece that’s as unique as it is enduring.

What sets this china piece apart is that it is hand-made, ensuring that each item is truly unique, and no two pieces will ever be the same.
